About Cindy

Cindy’s Garden to Table was created for those who want to learn to cook and/or garden using the garden to table philosophy because food tastes best when it comes from your own garden! First of all, the website provides delicious recipes, cooking and preserving ideas, gardening tips and nutrition information. Grow your own garden and then use the food you grow to create delicious meals. So, be proactive and stay healthy or make some changes to improve your health. While attending college at the University of California, Santa Cruz, I began my cooking career.  After graduation at the age of 22, I started Seychelles Restaurant as the head chef/owner for almost 13 years. The restaurant used specialty produce and herbs from an organic garden long before it was the trend.

Furthermore, in my early 20s I started developing recipes, and cooking healthy plant-based whole foods meals. Some of my favorite dishes were homemade breads and pasta dishes, daily soups and stews and curries.

I have been in the food business for over 25 years, educating, catering, consulting, gardening organically, and cooking. Passing on some of my recipes and nutritional information to you, the reader and foodie enthusiast! Through the use of video and photo, I will guide and motivate you to grow, harvest and cook!

Finally, you can hire me for cooking parties or classes, small catered events, speaking engagements, or one-on-one consulting for gardening, cooking or nutrition help.
